It’s Burger&Fries FAMILY time

How about this idea … Tell the family that today is going to be a yummy family day.

Let them have some light breakfast so they can enjoy the street feast made by you.

 We’ll keep it as simple as we can, so the original flavor can be tasted to the max. Burgers and fries‘with a twist are on the menu today. Feeling excited already … 

Lets start with the burger. Needed ingredients for approximately 6 persons:

  • Burger buns (1 per person)
  • 500 gr minced beef
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs or ~12 crackers (smashed fine)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • Salt & Black pepper
  • Lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, gherkins
  • Ketchup, mayo, mustard (optional)
  • Cheddar cheese (optional)

Get a large bowl and put the bread crumbs (or the smashed till perfection crackers) in it.

Chop the parsley and together with the beef put it in the bowl. Crack the egg in the mixture and add a great pinch of salt and black pepper. Cause your hands will be washed before starting the cooking procedure in the kitchen, you can dive them into the bowl and start the mixing process. Gently mix it till its compact.

Divide it into 6 balls and model them into a burger shape with ~cm thickness. Drizzle some fine oil, put them in a plate, cover it up and place it in the fridge till we get the potatoes done.    fries baked

  • 1kg potatoes                     
  • olive oil
  • Salt & Black pepper
  • Rosemary

              Put the potatoes into a pot and boil them until almost tender. When done, slice them into a shape by your desire. It can be like French fries, or maybe in small cubes, or even like chips, thin ot thick. Drizzle a good amount of olive oil, salt, black pepper and rosemary at the end. Dive your hands once more and let every peace of potato get the needed flavor. Put the potatoes into a roasting tray and bake them in a preheated oven on 220° for ~20-30 minutes till they’re golden till perfection

While the potatoes are getting their gold tan, it’s time to do the magic with the burgers.

Preheat a large frying pan and place the burgers, while lowering the heat to medium, so they wont burn before they’re fine done inside. Press it lightly with a spatula, and after 3-4 minutes turn them on the other side. After the burgers are done, you can clean the pan with a kitchen paper and toast the buns (cut in half) on both sides.

In the meantime prepare some lettuce leaves, and cut into slices some tomatoes and red onion. Get some gherkins and slice them also so you can get that smoky sour taste.

Put it all together, get some ketchup and mayo, also some refreshing drinks on table and the feast can begin.
