Hello PIZZA lovers! One’s in a while we need to treat ourselves and our loved ones with something as delicious and creative as this recipe. YUMMY layered pizza cake … pepperoni, veggie, tuna … your choice. For today we give you pepperoni style extravaganza on a plate:
Prepare your pizza dough and cut out three 6-inch circles (or the size to fit the bottom of your pan). Bake the circles on a greased baking sheet for around 8 minutes, then remove them and set them aside to cool down. Open up the second pizza dough and now cut two 6-inch circles along the long side of the dough, bake them also for 8 minutes and let them cool. Cut a long strip on the opposite side, but make sure the dough is a half inch taller then the height of your pan.
Line the pan with parchment paper, so it comes up and over the sides of the pan. Carefully drape the pizza dough inside the pan, to line the sides, leaving that extra half inch of the dough hanging over the edge. Take one of the cooked and cooled pizza circles and place it in the bottom of the pan.
And now the magic happens … Time for art … Spread your prepared ingredients. We started with pizza sauce, pepperoni and shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Time to place another precooked pizza circle.
Repeat it until the top layer is reached. Use the dough that is hanging over the edge to create a crispy crust, by rolling it over on top of the pizza.
Bake it for about 20 to 25 minutes. Once it’s cooked, carefully remove the pizza from the pan and let it cool down for five minutes.
… and VOILA … PIZZA CAKE is done and ready for tasting!
